Barbara Hepworth

Modern Masters

Description

Barbara Hepworth (1903 – 1975) knew why her work sold for relatively little during her lifetime. ‘I’m young, I’m beautiful and I’m a mother’ she explained. Nonetheless, she took the idea of being an international artist very seriously. Lizzie Perrotte explores the work of this radically ambitious artist and the challenges she faced.
